About

Kurt Dell

Kurt Dell is the only coach at Team Next Level. He coaches online from the Gold Coast, writes every plan himself, and reads every check-in himself.

How Team Next Level started

Team Next Level started when people Kurt knew asked him to coach them for their shows. He was competing as an IFBB Pro at the time, and he said yes to a few of them. It grew from there.

Along the way he went back to university to understand the human body properly. He studied Pharmacology at the University of Auckland first, then Exercise Science and Clinical Exercise Physiology at Griffith University on the Gold Coast, and he coached the whole way through. He is now an Accredited Exercise Physiologist.

Kurt coaches by working together with the client. He writes the plan and explains each change, and your progress and feedback decide what comes next.

The team's results

Kurt's clients have won 14 IFBB Pro Cards across six divisions, and 65 overall titles.

Kurt's competition background

Kurt started competing in 2012 and earned his IFBB Pro Card in 2015. From there he competed in 11 IFBB Pro shows through to 2022, in Men's Physique and Classic Physique. He has dieted for shows, done multiple peak weeks and stood on stage himself, so he knows what each stage of a prep asks of the athlete at the highest level, and he plans for it.

Qualifications

Kurt has four university qualifications and is an Accredited Exercise Physiologist with Exercise and Sports Science Australia (ESSA). Here is what each one means for the coaching.

Bachelor of Exercise Science, Griffith University, Gold Coast, 2025
The science behind every program Kurt writes. Anatomy, exercise physiology and biomechanics, and the research on how muscle is built, strength is gained and fat is lost. Training is planned from that evidence, and each phase is set up to produce a change the next one builds on.
Bachelor of Science, Major in Pharmacology, University of Auckland, 2020, and Postgraduate Diploma in Pharmacology, University of Auckland, 2021
Human physiology and biochemistry, how disease develops, and how drugs and hormones act in the body, to postgraduate depth. It is why Kurt understands what a hard diet does inside the body, reads bloodwork with that understanding, and writes a supplement plan with pharmacology behind it.
Bachelor of Clinical Exercise Physiology, Griffith University, Gold Coast, 2025
Exercise as treatment. Clinical exercise testing, and programming for a body with an injury or a condition. For most clients it shows up as the care taken with health at every check-in. For a client with an injury or a condition, it is why Kurt programs around it himself.
Accredited Exercise Physiologist (ESSA), AEP ID 47268, on ESSA's public register
A registered health professional, held to ESSA's standards. Kurt can work with a client's GP where that is needed.
Internship in strength and conditioning with the Gold Coast Titans (NRL), November 2024 to December 2025
Strength and conditioning with professional athletes.
